The Abadyl Painting

In 1987 I made a painting that was done in three different layers one abstact, oce of a city space and one from spilled akrylic paint from my studio floor. It took three days to complete.

It was later also jused for the namne of the project The city of Abadyl. “Abadyl” is a virtual city and an ongoing project, which was initiated in 1997 by the Swedish artist Michael Johansson (http://abadyl.com) The name is a construction from the three Swedish words: abstrakt (abstract), stad (city) and akryl (acrylic).

The painting also apperas on thecover of the  Catalouge CAMP for the CAMP exhibition at  Overgaden, Copenhagen, Denmark in 1988, with Christian Cavallin and Mikael Ericsson
